3307 4-cylinder turbocharged engines with 3.3-liter high-pressure Common Rail injection are available with 66 hp (M4063) or 74 hp (M4073). The engines are equipped with an exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) valve and a diesel particulate filter (DPF).

All M4003 models come standard with a six-speed transmission that can be shifted across 3 operating ranges, providing a total of 18 forward and 18 reverse gears. Additionally, the Kubota M4073 can be equipped with a two-stage powershift, increasing the number of gears to 36 forward and 36 reverse. The ECO Speed function allows reaching a maximum speed of 40 km/h while reducing engine RPM by 20%. Direction changes between forward and reverse are controlled by the electrohydraulic reverse lever located on the steering column.

The curved glass and roof window enhance visibility and increase spaciousness. The cabin provides ample headroom. Compared to its predecessor, the M60 series, the cabin is 18 cm wider, making rides comfortable even for two people. Equipped with air conditioning and heating as standard, the cabin ensures year-round comfort. For operators who frequently enter and exit, the adjustable steering wheel can be quickly folded or extended using a pedal. The main controls are ergonomically positioned on the right side. The instrument panel is identical to that of Kubota tractors in higher series. A new feature is the memory button for two different engine speeds. Standard equipment includes air conditioning and an air-suspended driver’s seat. The cabin can also be fitted with a passenger seat. Four LED work lights come standard.

The rear category II hitch has a lifting capacity of 2,500 kg. The arms are equipped with quick-release hooks. The standard two additional hydraulic lines can be supplemented with a third valve featuring flow control. The standard PTO speeds can be switched between 540 and 540 rpm from the driver’s seat. Upon request, the PTO speeds can be changed to 540 and 1,000 rpm.

Thanks to the bevel gear drive, the M4003 series tractors offer exceptional maneuverability. This system, fully enclosed in an oil bath, ensures long service life, easy maintenance, and enables an extremely tight turning radius of just 3.9 meters—significantly better than standard articulated systems. Another advantage is the tractor’s high ground clearance. This technical solution has been used by Kubota for over 30 years.
